Three ways to take a booking

You choose the mode for each service. A deep clean can be a request. A quick wash can be an exact time.

ModeWhat the customer doesWhat happens next
Exact timePicks an open slotConfirmed automatically once the deposit is paid. With no deposit, you approve or decline it
Arrival windowPicks a day and a morning or afternoon window. Evening is available too.You approve or decline it
RequestSends the details they wantYou approve or decline it

Only an exact time confirms by itself.

Set your rules once

Customers only see times that fit your rules.

Take a deposit

A deposit is optional. Ask for a flat dollar amount or a percentage of the service price. The customer pays through Stripe Checkout.

Here are three jobs that use a deposit.

Service priceDeposit ruleCustomer pays at booking
$60 detailFlat $20$20.00
$180 whole-house window clean25%$45.00
$175.50 job25%$43.88

A percentage deposit is rounded to the nearest cent. That is why 25% of $175.50 is $43.88.

Collect what you need before you arrive

Add an intake form with a liability notice and a signature. Add a cancellation policy the customer must tick before they book. Ruunly records which version of the policy they agreed to.

Put it on any site

The booking widget embeds on any site with a snippet. You do not need the Ruunly website. If you want one, the website already has a booking page. If you want services only for members, you can hide those from the public.

Requests nobody answers

You get an email about every new request. The customer gets an email that you received it. They get another when you approve or decline. A request left pending expires, and the customer is emailed when it does.

Book a regular onto a plan

A one-time booking is a start. A plan keeps the customer. See service plans to turn a booking into a regular. Booking comes with every plan. See pricing.

Booking rules worksheet

Fill this out before setup. Each line is one real setting.

  1. Which days do you work?
  2. What are your start and end hours?
  3. Which ZIP codes do you serve?
  4. Do you want a deposit? Flat or percent?
