How you opt in to text messages

Ruunly powers websites, booking, and billing for local service businesses (lawn care, pool service, cleaning, gyms, and more). When you book, subscribe, or manage your account with one of these businesses, you can choose to receive text messages from that business. This page shows exactly how that consent is collected.

The opt-in checkbox

On the booking form, membership signup, checkout, and account pages, customers see an unchecked SMS consent checkbox. Consent is never pre-checked and is never required to book or buy — it is a genuine, affirmative opt-in.

By checking this box, you agree to receive recurring automated SMS from the business via Ruunly about your appointments, service updates, and account activity. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out at any time. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

A customer reaches this consent checkbox on the business’s booking form, checkout, or account portal. The box is unchecked by default and is never required to book or buy. View the full checkout page.

Where you opt in

  • Online booking — when you request an appointment on a business's Ruunly website, the SMS consent checkbox appears on the contact step before you submit.
  • Membership signup & checkout — when you subscribe to a plan or pay, you can opt in to appointment and account texts.
  • Your account portal — you can turn text messages on or off at any time from your account preferences.
  • Resuming after a STOP — if you previously opted in and later replied STOP, you can re-subscribe at any time by replying START.

What you'll receive

Appointment reminders, service updates ("on my way", job complete), membership and renewal notifications, and invoice/receipt notices. Message frequency varies by your relationship with the business.
