Affiliate Program Terms

Last updated: July 6, 2026

Eligibility

To participate in the Ruunly Affiliate Program you must: (a) be at least 18 years of age; (b) have a valid PayPal or Wise account capable of receiving payouts in your country; (c) complete any required tax form (W-9 for US persons, W-8BEN for non-US persons) before your first payout; and (d) not appear on any OFAC Specially Designated Nationals list or equivalent sanctions list.

Ruunly reserves the right to reject any application at its sole discretion without providing a reason.

Commission Structure

Commissions are earned on referred customers who activate a paid Pro ($59/month) or Growth ($129/month) subscription. No commission is earned on Starter ($19/month) plan subscriptions.

TierRateDurationBonusMonthly cap
Creator30%12 billing cycles$100 Growth Bonus at 5 Pro referrals$5,000/month
General15%6 billing cyclesNone$150 per referred customer

Commission percentages are applied to the net revenue received by Ruunly after Stripe fees. Commission is calculated per billing cycle and is not guaranteed for future cycles if the referred customer changes their plan or cancels.

Hold Periods

All commissions are held for a minimum of 60 days from the charge date before they are eligible for payout. This hold period allows time to process any refund requests or chargeback disputes.

For your first payout, all cleared commissions are subject to a 120-day hold from the date of your first earned commission, while your account is being established and verified.

After the hold period, cleared commissions are batched and paid on the first business day of the following calendar month.

Clawbacks

Commissions may be reversed ("clawed back") in the following circumstances:

  • A referred customer's payment is refunded, reversed, or returned for any reason — including refunds issued under Ruunly's posted policies (such as the 7-day renewal refund window), goodwill or error-correction refunds, and payment-provider reversals — within 90 days of the charge date. The commission associated with that payment is reversed.
  • A referred customer initiates a chargeback or payment dispute — the associated commission is frozen pending resolution; if the chargeback is successful, the commission is permanently reversed, regardless of when the dispute is filed.
  • A referred customer cancels their subscription before a renewal billing cycle — the commission for that unearned cycle is not paid.
  • Ruunly determines that a commission was earned through fraudulent, abusive, or policy-violating means — the full commission and any bonuses associated with the fraudulent activity are voided.

Commissions track payments Ruunly actually retains. No commission is owed on any payment that is not ultimately collected and kept, whatever the reason. Ruunly may extend a hold period for any commission that is the subject of an open refund request, dispute, or fraud review.

If your account balance goes negative due to clawbacks, the deficit will be applied against future earnings and Ruunly may offset it against any pending payout. Ruunly does not seek cash repayment for negative balances unless fraud is involved.

FTC Disclosure Requirements

You must clearly and conspicuously disclose your material connection to Ruunly on every post, video, story, email, or page that promotes Ruunly or includes your affiliate code. This requirement applies to all channels and formats.

Acceptable disclosures include: "#ad", "[Ad]", "Paid partnership with Ruunly", "I earn a commission if you sign up via my link."

Requirements:

  • The disclosure must be visible at the same time the endorsement is seen or heard — not buried in a video description footer, below the fold, or in your bio link.
  • On video content (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram Reels), the disclosure must be stated verbally near the beginning of the sponsorship mention AND appear as on-screen text simultaneously.
  • On written content (blog posts, newsletters), the disclosure must appear before or at the beginning of any promotional copy — not at the end.
  • On social media posts where character counts are limited (Twitter/X), "#ad" at the beginning of the post is acceptable.

Per-channel disclosure examples are provided in your affiliate dashboard upon approval. Failure to properly disclose may result in account termination and commission reversal.

Anti-Fraud Policy

The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination, voiding of all pending and cleared commissions, and may result in legal action:

  • Self-referral — signing up for a Ruunly account using your own affiliate code or referral link, or directing family members or household members to do so.
  • Second-tenant abuse — creating multiple Ruunly tenants to generate artificial commissions.
  • Coupon scraping — posting your affiliate code on coupon aggregator sites, discount forums, or any site where the audience has no prior relationship with you.
  • Incentivized sign-ups — offering cash, gifts, or other direct incentives to referred customers that are not disclosed and pre-approved by Ruunly in writing.
  • Cookie stuffing or link hijacking — any technical manipulation of tracking links or browser cookies to claim commissions on traffic you did not generate.

Ruunly employs automated fraud detection. If anomalous patterns are detected in your referral activity, your account may be placed under review and payouts paused pending investigation.

Brand-Bidding Ban

You may not purchase paid search advertising (Google Ads, Bing Ads, or any equivalent paid search platform) targeting the keyword "Ruunly", any misspelling or phonetic variant of "Ruunly", or any other Ruunly trademarks.

This prohibition extends to all match types (exact, phrase, broad). You may run paid ads on non-trademark terms (e.g., "lawn care software", "pool service billing") provided the ads do not contain misleading claims about Ruunly.

Violation of this policy will result in immediate account termination and commission clawback.

Payout

Payouts are processed on the first business day of each calendar month for all commissions that have completed the applicable hold period in the prior month.

  • A minimum balance of $50 is required to initiate a payout. Balances below $50 roll over to the following month.
  • Accepted payout methods: PayPal and Wise. You must configure your payout method inside your affiliate dashboard before a payout can be processed.
  • Ruunly performs OFAC screening on all payees before processing payments. Payments to sanctioned individuals or entities will be blocked and the account suspended.
  • Ruunly is not responsible for fees charged by PayPal, Wise, or your bank.

Termination

Either party may terminate participation in the affiliate program at any time with or without cause.

If you terminate: notify Ruunly at [email protected]. Commissions already earned and past the hold period will be paid in the next monthly batch. Commissions still in the hold period will be paid once they clear, provided no fraud is subsequently detected.

If Ruunly terminates for cause (fraud, policy violation, brand-bidding, FTC non-compliance): all pending commissions are voided. Cleared commissions already paid are subject to clawback if fraud is involved.

If Ruunly terminates without cause (e.g., program discontinuation): all cleared commissions not yet paid will be paid in the next monthly batch. Pending commissions in the hold period will be paid once they clear.

Tax

You are solely responsible for reporting and paying any taxes owed on commissions you earn through the Ruunly Affiliate Program.

  • US persons: must complete IRS Form W-9 before their first payout. Ruunly will file IRS Form 1099-NEC for any US affiliate who earns more than $600 in a calendar year.
  • Non-US persons: must complete IRS Form W-8BEN before their first payout, certifying their non-US status and applicable tax treaty (if any). US withholding tax may apply at the rate of 30% (or lower treaty rate) on gross commissions.
  • Failure to provide required tax documentation will result in payouts being held until documentation is received.

Modifications

Ruunly may modify these terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days notice via email to the address on file for your affiliate account before material changes take effect.

Continued participation in the affiliate program after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not accept the revised terms, you may terminate your participation before the effective date.

The current version of these terms is always available at ruunly.com/affiliates/terms.

These Affiliate Program Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and the dispute-resolution, arbitration, class-action-waiver, and limitation-of-liability provisions of the Ruunly Terms of Service are incorporated by reference and apply to the affiliate program.
